Are You a Candidate for an Older Horse

How can one learn to be a good rider, trainer, and competitor if they have not ridden an experienced horse?

The answer is; they can not. Yes, one can ride first level with some success if they have a horse that is a good natural mover, but beyond that you must learn the movements before you can ever expect to teach a young horse how to do it

A horse with proper training 6 days a week and proper care can last well into their twenties. It goes without saying that with any athlete consistent training is the best way to prevent injury

Myth 1: Old horses have more soundness problems.

Truth: You will learn to ride at the trained horse's level. That's the whole point!

Truth: Soundness has more to do with proper training and care. Horses that are ridden crooked or lack in Ferrier and vet care often come with more soundness problems.
Myth 2: You won't be able to ride at the horse's level. I often hear, "I can't ride in a double bridle"

Client Comments:
"As a trainer, Carole always gives 110% - whether you are the first or last ride of the day. She gives you her complete attention and enthusiasm. She makes the exercises WORK for you. She is quick to diagnose what the problem is and makes it simple to get where you are headed. The horses Carole has chosen for me have always suited me perfectly."
